They need to speed up this game...

This game is very slow to play. Even when pressing buttons to cancel every cut scene it still takes to long between pitches for my liking. Back in the high heat days you could edit game speed in the tune file to whatever you liked. So if you wanted to watch all the walkups and all that you could. If you wanted to just fire pitch after pitch with no delay you could do that to. Personally I would prefer to instantly cut to the next pitch after a play without having to cancel some cut scenes, wait for the catcher to set up, etc. It just takes me way to long to play a single game of 2k8 for me to have any interest in playing a season. Anyone agree?

You can do everything you want to do. You can cancel cutscenes, inning highlights, player highlights, eliminate round the horn after the play. Hit the button right after the pitch and it will skip right to the next pitch. After the game is over take a little with all the wrap up but you can have fast games in this.

The only thing I've found that really slows me down is waiting for the catcher to setup. Ideally, I'd like to skip his signs and the fidgeting around before he sets the target. Is there any way to do this?

Well u dont have to wait for the catcher to set up. After you make the pitch you hit the A button i beleive and soon as your pitcher is set and see your pitches in the left corner you can throw it no matter what the catcher is doing.

I actually like playing a long game of baseball. Sometimes it takes me two and a half hours to play a game. I love it. There are ways in the game to speed it up, so I would hope playing long games is still an option in the future.

Yes, but will he be giving the correct target? I usually follow the catcher's suggestions, and that's why I wait for him to set up.

The only problem is the time it takes for the game to load when a batter is walking up and around-the-horn (which can be turned off). Aside from that, things shouldn't be a problem for you, I'd assume.

Pressing A before any pitch is like calling off the catcher's call. Where ever the catcher was suppose to go he will then correct himself and put him to where you hit the A button. Sometimes I get excited when I know where to pitch at and hit the A button on the corner while the catcher is going to the other side. I will be in my wind up before he even starts to move, but always gets over to the spot when you pitch it.
