    Graphics in Demo...

sorry if this has already been answered.. I was looking around but never saw it.

Anyway.. are the graphics in the retail game EXACTLY the same as they are in the demo? My friend said they scale them back in the demo to save space.

I'm just curious because I have 2k7, and the graphics (especially the grass) looks a LOT better than in 2k8. Is the retail game more high resolution than this? BTW.. I play on a 47" LCD HDTV.

I was wondering the same thing. I heard framerate was better in the demo, but what about detail?

Oh, but I don't think grass (especially color) would have changed at all. Maybe some detail, but from what everybody is saying, it is pretty lackluster. I have a feeling that wasn't changed one bit from demo to retail or vice versa.

for me, it took a step backwards. I play on my epson 1080p projector and the show looks great but 2k8, looks washed out and plain ugly. It looks better on my monitor but I may go back to 2k7 to check the graphics on my pj.

I guess running something in 60 FPS reallly makes the detail dummed down. I am not sure. Looking at NCAA 08, they said they didn't have time to put refs in because it ran at 60 FPS and to make them look and act properly would have taken too much time. The sidelines were horrid in NCAA. The players looked nothing like the ones on the field. So I guess the grass and other things had to be scaled back. Seems like these systems should be more powerful than that though.

It looks nowhere near as good as 2k7.
