i just had a 13 inning game bedard pitched 12. he pitched 12 innings i can not hit, i could not get 1 damn run. every pitch i hit was a pop or a little dribbler i got 3 hit in 13 innings. lost my shutout. when i play on pro it is to easy when i play on all star i can only pitch. oh ya daniel cabrera also when 12 innings and gave up only 1 hit. i would use sliders, but you can not get wild cards.

never thought i would say this, but i personally can't wait for the Bigs!! That game was awesome last year!! If they would add a season mode then that game would be so much fun!! For some reason i find joy in hitting mammoth 600 foot homeruns that go thru scoreboards...haha

Then go get The Show but.... They dont have the card system. So what really do you want? If you want to play baseball game just to get cards I guess you are going to have to deal with it. If your looking for a very good overall experience then you pick one. Both can be made great baseball game with the sliders. But, if you are just picking a game just because you want cards I guess... well you have your answer.Moderator

I've had games just like you describe....but instead of saying "I'm done with this game"...I just go practice in homerun derby.
As far as the cards go,YES you can still get them with adjusted sliders. I think he is mad at the game because he paid $60 for a game that plays horribly. The bad news is that it took me maybe one batter to pick up the hitting and a bit more than one batter to get the pitching down...guess what, the game still plays bad. Why practice something that just isnt fun. Take a look at the gamespot and IGN reviews...Can all these people be this wrong about this game being bad?
And to the above poster....the real challenge to this game is to try to like it.Comment

Okay... and by your repeating that for the nine hundredth and fifty seventh time since the game came out, what exactly are you attempting to either communicate or prove at this point? Or do you even know yourself anymore?
I shut the game off in disgust fifteen minutes after playing it for the first time. The next day I was able to start seeing and even appreciating some of its good points. Yes, I have come to the conclusion that the game has some very serious issues, such as sliders that don't work. Plus way, way, way too many fly balls, even with power sliders at 0 and after dropping players' power ratings down to 0 as well.
The difference between you and me though is that it makes no difference to me. I rented the game, and gave it a shot. No big deal. You on the other hand with your constant knocking of 2K8 while promoting The Show, sound... well, the words 'bitter' and 'like a troll' come to mind about right now.Comment

im not saying this sarcastic, but lower the difficulty or mess w/the sliders
if you cant hit at all, just go to rookie and if you smash the ball and beat the cpu 25-2 move to pro etc... until you find out a good starting point and from there tweak the sliders to try to get a fair difficulty level for your skill.
and if you really cant hit on rookie, max out human batting, lower pitcher difficulty and step timing sliders and its almost impossible not toComment
