Started out with Swing Stick 2.0, hated it, changed to Classic, started to play with batting view cameras, switched to Tight Zoomed, went back to Swing Stick 2.0, LOVE IT!

Started with Classic, which is what I used last year, then found that you can't play in ranked online matches unless you do Swing 2.0 and TCP. Swing 2.0 is more my style, I didn't like how last year you had to either push up for the homerun swing or let go for a level swing, while aiming with the left stick. Too complicated and resulted in being too spastic to take many balls. This year I can just focus on using the right stick to both swing and guide the hit, which just seems plain easier. also, I'm noticing much better hit variety, human and cpu, since i went with swing 2.0 and the total control pitching. way more gappers and down the line shots.

Does anyone pitch from behind the batter?

believe it or not, I've been finding the most variety as well as the easiest...yes, easiest to strike out by using the CLASSIC batting. Using either of the swing sticks is a little to easy for me to make contact, and I almost never strike out using them. Classic has been more realistically challenging for me

I think 2.0 has made it so much easier to put the ball where you want.

Now that is interesting...i wonder if that is because more of the player's rating comes into play when using classic. I would imagine it would since you do not have to worry about coordinating the step with the swing yourself.

but is the classic just timing too or is it zone at all? you aim with the left stick and swing via button?

Definitely more zone than last year. Reminds me of the MVP 05 model, which I really liked.
