Again, dont get me wrong, 2K8 is a good game but not an extra $50 good game for me. I will wait until next year until everything is ironed out or buy a PS3 and get The Show(that part is up to the effort of 2K for next years game).
Ok so you're against spending $50 extra for 2k8 but yet considering $400+ for PS3 and the Show???

Thats a good argument, but flawed. I can also play Blu-ray discs, Drakes Fortune, Resistance and a few other games I wouldnt mind playing. It just seems that Sony already has its **** together with The Show and that 2K cant seem to balance their assets. They still havent created a next gen engine for the game. I would truly be surprised if they are using more than one core in the 360.

I am just tired of waiting and then having to settle for whatever they shovel to us, with the PS3 I have a choice to play The Show. Now, if Microsoft would get off its as and put the High Heat license to good use, there would be no need for this conversation we are having right now.

Agree with everything you state.. 2k8 is running on the same crappy engine as 2k5 on the xbox, no matter what marketing crap they feed you.. More hit variety? Comon.. I played 2k7 to death and there's actually LESS hit variety this year. People are just trying to blindly justify their purchase. Everything in my mind is a step down from last year, to the exception of the pitching..for humans lol.. The AI pitching is a joke.

A PS3 is an excellent investment, especially now. I've been playing the 2k series on the 360 simply because I had no choice. Now with hd-dvd dead and finally a great baseball game on the market (mlb08), there's no reason not to own a ps3. Heck, I bought the show and I don't even own a ps3 (lol)...yet

        MLB2k7: Strike Two
        MLB2k8: you're outta here..

There is way more hit variety in this years game. You probably didn't see any of it, cause you suck at hitting.
