    My First Triple Play

I've been playing baseball games since RBI back on the NES. I would say since "baseball" on the Atari, but that doesn't count in my opinion. It went RBI - RBI 2 - Bases Loaded (all) - Super Bases Loaded - Ken Griffey Baseball - Triple Play - MVP 05 - The Show 06 - MLB 2k7 and now of course MLB 2k8...

I all of those years, in all of those games...I've never turned a legit triple play. Maybe once in a night of drinking baseball due to "ineffective" baserunning, but never a true triple play. That all changed last night. I was playing as the Rangers and Vladimir Guerrero, a notorious Ranger killer was up with guys on 1st and 3rd. I had Hank Blalock shading toward short a bit and Michael Young playing him to go up the middle. Vladdy hit a LASER 2-hopper 2 Blalock who picked up the ball, tagged the advancing runner, flipped to Young at second and then JUST nipped Vladdy at first.

Of course I lost the game...which is par for the course for me right now. Instead of having 12-5 losses, at least it's been nice 5-3, 4-1 etc. type of games. I'm getting the hang of pitching and loving the game. Can't wait for the patch though.

Do you mean runners at 1st and 2nd instead of 2nd and third? It wouldn't make sense to throw to 2nd for a force out if there isn't a runner on 1st.

    Good job, though!
