    Where are the ground outs!?

I just played a game A's(me) - Twins on Allstar. They had 24 hits, 14runs. They had 3 hrs and only 2 balls hit on the ground. Everything was deep pop flies. I hit most my pitches with Harden and was pitching down in the zone mixing in a splitter and slider to induce ground balls... no luck. I don't understand the lack of grounders.

I have no problem inducing ground balls. I can get around 75% ground outs with Wang. Are you making effective pitches? If you don't throw effective pitches with good gesture scores they will hit them hard.

I am usually around 92 overall in gesture score...

Are you filling the effectiveness meter? I would think you are, but I don't know. I can't say that I am having this issue. Maybe its the sliders?

I don't have that problem either. With Rich Harden's splitter, I keep it down in the zone and induce plenty of grounders (when they can hit them, that is). Sinkerball pitchers like Lowe, Webb and Wang give you plenty of grounders as well.

As far as I know I am. I pull back till its in the green ring then i move whatever direction the pitch calls for. I tried using precision pitching and gave up alot of flies too. Only when I would max it out and hit the exact spot then i would see ground balls.. but still alot of flies.

Well then I am just confused... I had the computers hitting sliders all at normal and in the second game I even lowered the hitting skill.. same stuff.
