    Pitcher Injurys

I know some have said they have not seen them but I had a good one last night. I was using the Rays AA team with David Price on the mound. He got up to about 80 pitches in the 6th. I throw a curve ball and he blew out his elbow and was out for 4-6 months. Then in the 8th the opposing pitcher throws a fastball and messed up his knee. I thought it was pretty cool that he blew out his elbow on a curveball.

Pitcher injuries happen all the time. Just pitch with any pitcher until their stamina gets into the low teens. Then you'll start seeing injuries.

I had Jaime Moyer strain a calf muscle in either the first or decond inning. He was only out for 2 days so he didn't miss a start.

In my first game Brandon Webb took one off the head in the second and left with a mild concussion.

IIRC, the deal with pitchers not getting injured was a Franchise issue, where CPU pitchers did not get injured. I've been seeing user-controlled pitcher injuries since day one. The concern was with someone's noticing that over a 162-game season, none of the AI pitchers ever went on the DL.

That would be me..., and the issue w/ pitcher injuries does not involve user played games as you can see pitchers go down w/ consistency it's w/ the CPU teams. ALL the games that are simmed by the CPU when you play your game in franchise never see a pitcher get injured, and by never I mean 97% of the time.
