does ne one know?
first, player progression. when u look at team pulse it shows +to a stat, like overall +6 which makes the player 95, but when u look at roster it says overall 89. i dnt get it, why does it say 2 diff thigs which # is it? and for ur minor league teams it shows no progression on ne one. so am i wasting my time playing the games in minor league to try to raise there stats? if not how do u c the improvment? 2nd it says when ur pitcher gets enough points u can add a new pitch. where can i find out that information at n how many points do you need? thanks, game on!Tags: None -

Yoda, is that you?
Sorry, I can't really answer your question. I think what might be happening is the player or team is hot and they got a ratings boost. On the other hand, if they go cold I imagine they could go below their overall rating. Someone else might know better though.Goozex

Re: does ne one know?
my bad there a little better. i dont understand why you dont understand what im asking in my original thread. pitchers get points for doing good i guess, and it said in the begining emails. you get one about these points. earn enough of them and that pitcher can learn a new pitch. am i wrong?? if im not wrong how do you know how many points you have?, an when he is going to learn the new pitch? where can i find that on the game? and the other thing was player progression. player progression, you understand? i play with all 3 minor league teams and i found nothing to know if there improving. am i wasting my time playing the minor league games? how do you know there getting better. thanksComment

Still doesn't excuse the language and attack. If you don't like what he said either ignore him (there's an ignore feature here and someone recently joined mine. It's great) or just say that you don't understand him.
Anyway, those are ratings boost but they are not permanent. It's more like that player is being affected by the coaching staff and his play but it doesn't make him instantly better. It's the outside forces that are pushing his ratings up for the time being.
I would imagine that even though you aren't seeing immediate changes for your minor leaguers the more you see those ratings boosts the better they'll be when the ratings are updated at the end of the season."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
