"With all your loyal support in the forums, we became aware of certain gameplay experience issues within Major League Baseball 2K8 that may effect the enjoyment for some players, and we are in the process of testing downloadable updates for both the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 versions. Specifically, the Xbox 360 update will increase the frames per second to help improve the overall gameplay experience, while another update for both the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 will correct an issue in Franchise mode when playing as the San Diego Padres and attempting to move players to and from their minor league roster. These updates are currently undergoing technical review, and will be available for download shortly, free of charge.

We are also aware of certain gameplay issues with the Wii and PlayStation2 versions of Major League Baseball 2K8. While there is currently not an update available for these platforms, as they do not yet have the network capability to issue updates, our team is working tirelessly to find other alternative solutions to provide an improved gameplay experience. We appreciate the feedback from all of our dedicated fans, and will continue to provide other updates and information when available."

Usually stuff from there isn't reliable but it looks legit this time! I wonder if it has been sent to MS or not? If not we have at least two weeks to wait.

reading around the 2k boards a bit, they have a 2k rep who says the patch is in the hands of MS and Sony. So i'm hoping we'll see it sometime this week!

I prefer to think of it as Sony once again screwed ps3 owners. They choose to release competing games and backstabbing 2k. I wouldnt care about them either. Sony has always done this and its the same with blu ray. I am surprised that 2k even released it for sony products.

You maybe right. It doesn't sound like the patch will include the SB issues this game has. How ironic that they put MLB's stolen base leader on their cover and can't get a decent amount? I can stomach the stuttering, and the usual AI gaffes but this could be a major game killer.

What's wrong with Sony producing a baseball game? I don't understand your post, Sony making a BB title has nothing to do with the state of 2k baseball.
