Inside Edge Franchise Question
I bought all the reports for Milwaukee and Houston in my Cubs franchise, yet when the game starts there are no pitching tendencies from the opposing teams pitchers on the screen.

Re: Inside Edge Franchise Question
when you purchase IE, its gonna say purchase team or all batters/all pitchers, but only a cople of players are available.... as the season goes on more players will become available....so in ur case u prolly only unlocked one pitcher on that team....did u check every pitcher? -
Re: Inside Edge Franchise Question
I haven't bought IE reports for any pitchers yet.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Inside Edge Franchise Question
Your first choice is to but the whole team for say 1.4m. Then you have the choice to buy all pitchers or all batters for say 700K each. After that you have the choice to buy individual players for something like 140K ea.
It makes obvious sense to buy the whole team for 1.4m. So I bought the entire Houston report. After buying it the option to buy anything else just says n/a, which, of course, makes sense.
I'm just not sure why during the game the pitching tendencies don't show up. No highlighting strike zone and/or pitch percentages given the count.Comment

It's like juk34man said,
As the season progresses, more reports for individual players will become available. AT that point, you have to pay more money to get those new IE reports.Comment

Re: Inside Edge Franchise Question
Yes, I'm pretty sure that's the way it works. The 1.4 million is only for the current available reports if I'm not mistaken. If you look at a team that you haven't purchased any reports yet, and count the cost of all available reports at that point, I'm pretty sure that the cost of the whole team at that specific point is less than the sum of the cost of each individual report available, thereby resulting in savings when buying the whole of the available reports compared to buying each report seperately.
I am not at home presently so I can't confirm this but I'm pretty sure that's the way it worked last year. Can someone confirm this?Comment

Re: Inside Edge Franchise Question
Yeah. When you go to IE and look at the teams available for purchase there are 25 reports available.

Re: Inside Edge Franchise Question
In the third game of the Brewers series (I bought the entire team report after the second game) it was Suppan.
In the first game of the Houston series it was Shawn Chacon.Comment

Re: Inside Edge Franchise Question
I'm going to check my franchise and see if Suppan and chacon have reports available.
OK, I just checked the Brewers. Only 5 player's reports are available to purchase at the start of the season:
1. B. Sheets
2. P. Fielder
3. R. Braun
4. E. Gagne
5. M. Cameron
Everyone else is unavailable. You can purchase the entire team (all 5 players) for 560 K. Saving yourself 180 K if you bought the IE reports for those 5 players individually.
It wouldn't make any sense to charge 560 K for a 25 player roster. You would be saving like 2 million dollars at that price. Yea, it would be nice for us as owners/GM's.Last edited by Mr.Wednesday; 03-19-2008, 03:40 PM.PSN: PhiNuPi

Re: Inside Edge Franchise Question
BigH and Juk34 are correct. You do not purchase the entire team report. You purchase the entire team reports that are available at that time. Over the course of the franchise more reports for that team will become available which can be purchased for an additional cost.
I'm going to check my franchise and see if Suppan and chacon have reports available.
Which is where I was eventually headed after I was done w/ my "questioning" ... Suppan and whomever else was the pitcher you were facing were not included w/ the "whole team" which you bought. What you bought when you decided to "purchase the entire team", was purchase the entire teams worth of "available" reports like was stated above.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Inside Edge Franchise Question
Makes sense then. Because when you look at what's purchased it says 5/25 reports have been purchased. Thanks fellas.Comment
