how many points do prospects progress a year?

Does anyone know how many points a prospect will improve a year? IS it at least 5 points or does it very by rating. Will a rated prospects maybe increase by 10 where b rated prospects increase by 5. This would be good to know because it would give you a good idea what to initially rate someone like lars anderson whoose eta is 2009. If he progressed like 5 a year then he might be something like a 58 or 59 right now.

Depends on the player's potential rating, and also how you set the progression sliders in your franchise. If you set them higher, players will progress faster.
