game canceled from rain?

i played a game and they called it in the bottom of the first, then the game went back to the schedule and the game was still there to play on the same day. wtf? are you not supose to have a double header the next time you play that team? or the next day you play them? very stupid 2k!

I've had it rain a few times, the it just stops randomly. Kinda weird. Its always in the first too.

I don't see how something can break from one verison to the next. This worked perfectly in 2k7.

I really don't know anything about game development, but Im pretty sure changing code from one version to the next can create bugs.

I had this happen to me once and it was in the middle of a rally. I've had two or three rain delays and they were in like the 6th or 7th so I wasn't worried about it being called. When ever I get delays is only for like 15-20 seconds when the commentators talk about the delay.

Yep happened to me yesterday. I was like COOL....maybe a double header next time. NOPE same game still up there to play. GRRRR....oh well. Minehappened in the 1st inning as well.

Yeah it's pretty lame that games that are called due to rain delays aren't rescheduled on off days or the following day as a twilight double header =(.

I wouldn't expect this to be patched too...this really sucks. I've had delays but no cancellations. If I do get a cancellation I'm just going to restart/reload my chise as if that game was never played.

LOL....here is where failing to seperate realism and authenticity from games just makes no sense and makes you wonder what are the intentions of the designers


What actual purpose does having rain delays in this game serve?.......IMO, its just now an inconvience to accomplish nothing other than having to restart your game over.

If I wanted to simulate that, I could just image that all the game freezes in this game were actual rain delays and could have saved the company wasted development time.

Kidding aside, I like the idea and think its cool...if it actually worked the way real delays do and forced teams to play double headers at later dates
