Just tried returning the game Best Buy

I plead my case but they weren't having any of it saying that they had not heard any complaints about this game. They told me in order to get store credit back I would have to have 2k acknowledge the problem in some sort of written format. Has anyone ever had any luck with this sort of thing?

they wont use something off of someones blog. trust me, i work there. the only way you will get your money back is if a 2k rep calls that particular store, and they escalate it to a full refund. chances of that happening are as about as good as you winning the lottery. sorry man, you just lost 60 bucks..

Madden and MLB 2K are two games that I will buy used, even if it's only 5 bucks or so off. You then have a week to return the game for a full refund if you're not satisfied. That's what I did. I bought MLB 2K8 a few days after it came out used for 5 bucks off. Crazy right? WRONG. I returned it yesterday for a FULL refund.

So let's see. Had I bought it new at 60 bucks (plus tax) when I went back to the store they would have gave me roughly 25 bucks store credit and less for cash OR I buy it for 55 bucks used (plus tax) and go back to the store and get 55 bucks (plus tax) back. Honestly fellas, I think I may be doing this with all my game purchases for now on. Except for sure winners like NBA 2K series, APF 2K series (it was a sure winner for me, can't beat the gameplay) and a few other titles.

You should buy games from GameSpot/Ebgames from now on. They have a return policy, one time exchange policy. JFYI.

Just tell them it gave you disc read error. Then print out on microsofts website the part where it says return to retailer where purchased if you get the disc read error.

Or just do what I do and get your games at Costco, they're the best with returns.

Can't feel sorry for you bro....rent, download the demo, read reviews, etc. Smart consumers do their research before they buy. Especially video games. Come on now, right at this very site is all opinons and a great source of information on this game...Why are you complaining now about not getting your money back? Did you also read Best Buy's return policy?
