Scooping up a grounder outside of 3rd base and firing it across the infield with the throwing meter. Not only feels great but looks beautiful.
Turning a double play. Again, looks just beautiful.
The total control pitching system. The most fun I've ever had pitching. You really have to pitch smart and set batters up, or they kill you. I actually walk batters without trying to.
I love the batting system also. It's very challenging. Feels great when you get a hold of one!
The stadiums are a thing of beauty. Dirt and grass textures look great. ( Grass looks funky close up, but in the batting and fielding cams, it looks spot on.) Love the batters boxes getting messed up as the game goes on. Colors, feeling of space.... great!
Ambient sounds during the game. Sounds like being at a real game. (Cheering can sometimes be a bit uninspiring, and I turn off Joe and John.) Heckling is great!
Signature styles. Fantastic, they're spot on and there's a ton of them.
Animations are also fantastic. Scooping up grounders, throwing, swinging the bat, pitching... all great. I use Dynamic fielding cam and see very little jerkiness. I had my third baseman boot a ground ball, stumble a couple of steps to it, pick it up, throw off balance, and just miss getting the out, because of the throw meter, I threw low and the first baseman couldn't make the scoop. It was an amazing series of animations.
Feels like baseball. Looks like baseball. Flows like baseball. Plays like baseball. THANKS 2K, for a great baseball simulation!
