the disc literally ate my elite up. i was in the franchise screen and all of a sudden the machine starts making noises. the game froze. i restart and i get an unplayable disc error. i put in other games, the same thing. so i had to send the machine back to microsoft for repair. i was really enjoying the game too. now i have to buy a new copy when i get my 360 back because i am not going to chance putting the same disc in. the whole thing just was very eerie. the noises were so loud.

im sure it is just paranoia... that being said my 360 always ran great, then i got 2k8 and it started freezing, and then it wouldnt read 2k8, or any game or dvd for that matter, got the same unreadable disc error. like they said though, it was probably just our timeComment

The same thing happen to me. I play my 360 about 2 hours aweek and it worked perfect until I got this game.The next thing I knew it was the three rings of death and I had to send it back.Comment

Wow so not only are 2K's poor games making people sell their 360s, it's actually tearing them up as well. What a miserable company 2K is. The blame has to be put on the shoulders of MLB if their license is not pulled before next season.Comment

Yep, that is exactly what's happening, a disc, that is the exact same disc physically, regardless of what's on it, that every other game is made of, and because it's 2k's disc, it's messing up your 360. Someone explain to me how it's possible that a game can ruin your 360.Comment

lol...I don't know about killing systems, but 2K does seem to have a problem (at least with their baseball franchise) making games that don't freeze. Also, the "disc read error" is not common except amonst games named 2K7 and 2K8. I've had the same 360 since 2006 and the only time I've had freeze or "read" issues is with those two games.Comment
