    List of alltime legends in 2K8?

    Anyone know how to get hold of a list of the alltime legends that are available in 2K8? I'm going to start creating my own using scrub-nobodies from the FA list, and from A and AA teams. But I'd like to know who is actually available this year in 2K8, as I'm only planning on creating players if their names are announced in-game. Thanks for any help.

      Wow, just testing some names out, and the PA announcer says "Joe Jackson" this year! Finally get to put Shoeless in the game

              Even if you unlock the legend and mlb greats teams, they don't announce all the names. It's very inconsistent, They'll have a long announcement for Steve Sax and then announce Wade Boggs by his jersey number.

                  Yeah, I decided to go through and create names to see which ones the PA guys announces. Some aren't in the game, even though their names are: Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Sandy Koufax. But there are some nice surprises, like Joe Carter and Roberto Alomar, Reggie Jackson and Willie Mays, the Niekro, Perry and Alou brothers, Walter Johnson, Pete Alexander, Early Wynn, Nolan Ryan, Bob Welsh, etc. I've found about 50 names so far that are announced.

                  Plus I've been sorting generic faces (guys in A, AA, AAA and on the FA list) and there are well over 100 different ones, so it's going to be a nice project making all these guys. Thanks

                      There was a list of legends somewhere on GameSpot and now I can't find it. It's almost as if it was taken down.

                          So Baa, I take it you ended up taking the plunge and bought the game? Or just an extended rental?

                              Bought the game a few days ago. I'm enjoying it. It's a lot of fun, regardless of the issues. Plus I don't have any of the framerate problems - one advantage of not having an HDTV, I guess

                                  I'm hearing people can't unlock the legends in the game because of a glitch? Maybe not a coincidence...

                                  Like I said, I just ended up typing in names and seeing if they work or not. Now I'm sifting through Baseball Reference and seeing which obscure old-time players come up if I type in some of the last names. I've found a few that way as well.
