I've done it quite often w/ J-Roll...Only it doesn't look like a typical drag bunt (a la Brett Butler)...I just press and hold "X" while the pitcher is midway through his windup, and use the left/right trigger to place the bunt where I want to. If I remember correctly J-Roll or the player just waits to catch the ball on the bat rather than drag it in the midst of starting their run down the basepath.

I think maybe you are not holding the button down...Which seems stupid I know because it doesn't resemble your typical "drag" bunt.

Well there is definetly an animation for it in the game, but for some reason I can't drop the bunt. I hit the button right around the time the pitcher is releasing the bal, about the same time you would pull back on the right stick. Help?

Drag bunts are all about timing. I've managed a ton with Pie. Be sure to use the right and left trigger to control the direction of the bunt and time the X button for when you would normally swing.
So time your bunt as if you were swinging and combine that with the trigger buttons.

that's not a drag bunt doing it that way is pretty easy.

i'm about 50/50 getting my drag attempts down with Jose Reyes.

the timing is very tricky - you have a very small window to make contact and drop it down.

honestly though I think the chance at success is pretty realistic. guys try to drop a drag bunt down and miss a lot more than they do it successfully.
If you can read this, you don't need glasses.

Ok. I take it back. I seriously cannot do it. Not once. I try to do it as I would swing. I try it as the pitcher is releasing the ball. I try it just as the ball arrives. I even had my friend throw me like 100 pitches to guy like Crwford and Upton on the Rays. What do I need to do? I even went and turned the bunt for base hit slider all the way up. I could se some help. Please. If I get hit X too late, then it does the standard bunt animation and I can easily put those down. Maybe thats what you guys are getting, I dunno. Help me BlyGilmore. Please.
