    Stopping Dropped Balls During Collisions

Is there any way to affect this in the game with the sliders. Every time I throw home and there is a play at the plate where the ball beats the guy easily (usually this is when the ball is hit to an infielder) the runner runs over the catcher and the catcher drops the ball.

This same thing happens on Double Plays at second. I can understand the DP being broke up, but the guy will just let the ball go and it bounces wherever. Pretty annoying and unrealistic.

Any way to affect this with the in-game sliders?

The only collisions I get are on balls hit right behind 2nd base because I'll grab them with the SS and my 2B sometimes runs over my SS trying to cover the bag. Other than that make it a habit to call off your fellow fielders. As far as your catcher goes. Get someone who can cover home better. I have the same issue but, Doumit seems to hold onto almost everything. Also I'm pretty sure player size has a lot to do with the chances of a catcher dropping the ball. For example I tried to run over Jason Kendall with Chris Duffy and he held onto the ball. Later in that same game I ran him over with Ronny Paulino and the ball went flying.

I've probably seen 5 or 6 home plate collisions and 3 or 4 of the times, the catcher dropped the ball, which like the OP stated is too high. I don't think it takes a "good" catcher to hang on to the ball as this isn't really a skill. It's more luck of the runner putting a good hit on the catcher and putting his elbow/helmet on the catchers glove.

I don't mind the drops, but it should be maybe 1 out of every 15 or 20 times. Seing happen 30,40 or 50 percent of the time is way too often.

I havent seen too many catcher dropped balls, but every game i've had at least 2 times when turning double plays, my 2nd basemen gets his legs taken out by the runner. I have 2 roommates who run teams as well in our 'chise, and they get the same thing. i've had the ball fly out of the glove of my 2nd baseman, and roll all the way out to left field WITHOUT it letter my use LB to switch guys. i had to stay as the left fielder.
