Re: What is the diff betw inside edge on and off
I've been testing some things out. First, with Inside Edge for CPU pitchers: with it ON, you'll see enough balls, depending on your Throw Strikes slider settings. With it OFF, the CPU pitcher will throw 90% strikes. Don't know if that's broken, but that's the way it works. Anyway, I assume that with it ON, the CPU reads your hitter's tendencies: L/R strengths, spray chart, and (sounds like) even his ability to walk or strikeout.
I've also been testing out IE for CPU hitters. I'm still early in the testing stage, but it's starting to look like the CPU doesn't get as many meatball-type hits with it set to OFF. I had it ON for the first few days, and was getting irritated at how the CPU would always belt the ball if I messed up on my pitching. So I shut IE for Hitters OFF, and it seems I'm now seeing fewer fly balls/HR's, and more groundballs and such. But don't quote me on that, seeing I'm still testing it out. -

Hey this is the one thing that saved the game for me. Once I turned IE on for BOTH batters and Pitchers I am throwing walks and getting them. My pitch counts are great now I had 68pitches with D. Lowe who I was controlling in 4.2/3 before I pulled him. This is the key in being able to get walks and throw walks. IE HAS TO BE ON.Comment

I can verify this as well. I've been doing a lot of testing of a few things too, and if pitchers don't use IE, then they throw WAY more strikes than if they don't, even if you lower the throw strikes to around 0. IMO, it needs to be ON if you want any semblance of a real game...from the CPU pitchers at least.Steam: BahnzoComment
