Re: Stealing too easy
I get CPU steals in a simmed game but not while playing one and I would rather live without them and play with my sliders then play the game on default!Comment

Re: Stealing too easy
wow...Im wondering if adjusting sliders from any of the DEFAULT skill levels screws around with the STEALING logic in the game?....if so, then, perhaps OTHER gameplay logic ( which we may not as easily see ) could also be affected by adjusting sliders from their default positions...
I may try to reset my Customized sliders back to either PRO or ALL STAR do see if I notice any gameplay differences.Comment

Re: Stealing too easy
I have good news...as well as bad news. I only tested this for 2 games, but from what I've seen,I'll be going back to custom sliders.
The good news....the Angels attempted 1 steal...the first I've seen since playing this game.
The bad news..John Lackey went 7 1/3 innings,he threw 59 pitches...of those, 58 were strikes and only 1 was a ball, and the reason he threw that was because he pitched out.
At one point,I didn't swing at ANYTHING...and he struck out the side twice.
The next game I played was against the Astros.
I picked the next starter in their rotation..Rodriguez
He went 6 innings, threw 57 pitches...of those 49 were strikes and 8 of them were balls. His % was 85.96% strikes.
They also didn't attempt any steals.
Overall...the games played really good, but the cpu not throwing balls really hurt.
During the Angel game after they pulled Lackey, they put in Shields.
He didn't last long though...lol. I hit a liner off his head, which the 1st baseman caught, and he (Shields) had to leave the game with a mild concussion....That was kinda cool to see that.
After all was said and done though...I will be going back to custom sliders. The poor ball/strike ratio was just crazy. It didn't matter if I was patient or not.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Re: Stealing too easy
Interesting. 99.99999% of the people are not getting the CPU to attempt steals, but you are? I'd also like to know what you consider to be a "regular basis".Comment

Re: Stealing too easy
I believe he's indirectly suggesting that with default sliders, other sliders work the way they're supposed to. That has happened in the past with Kush's games as I recall.Last edited by baa7; 03-30-2008, 05:20 PM.Comment

Re: Stealing too easy
Is it possible that the lack of cpu steals is connected with the users VIP? I remember early on in my first game played upon opening the game,on All-Star default the cpu stealing. Since that steal, they really have no need to try as I am constantly getting lit up. I've only been playing exhibition games with different teams but my record is like 2-18.Comment

Re: Stealing too easy
That may be true, I really haven't messed with sliders a great deal in most of my games. I haven't touched any on nba 2k8 and just lowered the homeruns on mlb. The only game that I feel absolutely needs sliders to be adjusted is nhl 2k8.Originally posted by jim416You are the 2k Police. :)Comment

Re: Stealing too easy
Take the BaesStealling Success Sliders from default All Star and move it 15 clicks to the left!
I have testes it out in about 100 games with a guy that has 100 attribute in every stat a super fast guy and he gets caught even when I double tap the Y Button.
He has something like a 30 Steals 15 Caught Stealing.Comment
