For example I push down then up, but the circle just fills up and I cannot stop it, and it usually ends up way off target. Then I see the last pitch motion on the screen and it didn't pick up my first motion. I doesn't happen very often, but when it does that 1/2 inning nothing I do can correct it. Next inning everything seems fine. I know how to pitch in this game so I know its not just me not doing it correctly, just wonderin if it happens to anyone else and if there is a reason for it

Analog Pitching not recognizing first motion
Why is it sometimes with analog pitching sometimes it doesn't recognize my first motion.

Re: Analog Pitching not recognizing first motion
Be firm, fast and consistent with your motions. I has having the same problem and having meatball after meatball. I thought I needed to be slow and smooth with my motions and kind of follow the flow of the pitcher's delivery. I realized this was not the case and I have not given up an immediate red, meatball like you describe. -

In this case, you must hold down the first motion until the meter fills up to the outer circle. This will decrease the size of the inner circle slightly, but not nearly as bad as it would be if you released it early. As soon as I realized this I have been much more successful, and more importantly, no more meatballs.Comment

Re: Analog Pitching not recognizing first motion
The circle continues to fill up until full, yes. That's the way it's programmed. Regardless, it recognizes the amount of effort applied (when you stopped pushing down), no worries.Comment

Re: Analog Pitching not recognizing first motion
I hate that if you miss even slightly on a changeup that it makes it a meatball fast ball. Why wouldn't it just make it a junky changeup?Comment

Re: Analog Pitching not recognizing first motion
Guys lower the total control pitch slider to about 35 and then lower the cpu meatball slider to 0. I play this game with those settings and NO meatballs. A missed pitch should not ALWAYS be a fastball strike down the middle...its a stupid implementation in the game and they should take it out, but sliders took it out for me.Comment

Re: Analog Pitching not recognizing first motion
The meat pitch programming is pure arcade nonsense, is why. I'm guessing the Kush programmers were high when they programmed it, and as they got giddier, they continued to tweak it, and make it more and more ridiculous. Barrel of laughs, all those crazy HR's!Comment
