Official Xbox 360/PS3 Update thread

I'm going to go ahead and open this one up again. As of now there is no "official" word other than soon. Microsoft patch is to be released soon.

While the PS3 version probably won't be out until after April 16th when the new PSN Store is launched.

Post in this thread only if you have any news regarding the patch.

Unlike the other thread, complaining, talking about Madden, MLB games, Rick Rolling, etc. will not be tolerated. People want to know about the patch and not swim through 20 pages of garbage.

Those not abiding by these rules will be given an infraction.

Thanks for creating this thread. It was hard mulling through that other one for information.

That being said, do you know if this update will be an automatic update as soon as you boot up your game, or will we have to find it in XBOX Live Marketplace?

It should be an auto update as soon as you start the game it will ask you to update

Were the gamer pics up earlier? I don't remember seeing them. If they weren't, MS is still adding stuff today, so the patch may not be out of the question.

On a side note, is it common for 2k to release another patch in the future?

I think fixing the frame rate and the Padre's glitch is important, but there still is other issues like the AI stealing problem and such that should be fixed as well.

But yeah I think the 3 major prblems that should be fixed are the framerate, Stealing (or lack there of), and Pades glitch. The rest can come later. I havn't had any of "the rest" yet, so I don't know what else is wrong yet.

YES...they better fix the stealing issue too, I actually rank that #1 gameplay issue. Also one more kinda important one is they mixed the heads up on Carmona and Perez on the Indians....its crazy every time I see a closeup...they gotta put the right head on.

I think they could do that with a simple roster update, or you could just edit them to turn them into each other although the stats will be wrong.

When 2k released the patch for CHOOPS 2k8 they put out a list that had about 20 fixes on it, but in the game you could see that they actually tuned many more things then what was listed.

This could happen with MLB 2k8, where they'd rather have the players just discover some of the unmentioned fixes to the gameplay rather than put out publicly a long list of tweaks.

We'll see if thats the case.

You'd think the sports games would learn from the shooters like COD and halo and put out beta versions to do what you said above. IF you're not gonna test it enough, don't set your product up for failure like this.
