The patch might need a patch

I played one game earlier after getting the patch and i seen some new bugs in the game i haven't seen before. For instance i hit a ball to center field it bounced in front of the center fielder and every time he went to pick it up the ball kept warping slightly away from him resulting in an inside the parker. Another time david ortiz hit a homer to right field the ball barely cleared the wall i was waiting for it to be called a homer and ortiz just kept standing at first til i noticed i had to make him round the bases for an inside the parker off a regular home run. Those are just two instances i noticed so far. I never saw that in the game before the patch.

Don't know if it's the same issue, but I (others have reported this as well) have had several instances where I wasn't able to pick the ball up with the OF. He'll run in a circle around the ball, unable to grab it. Don't recall the ball 'warping' though.

Yes, if 'Mess Factor' was a game rating, 2K8 would have received it's highest review marks in that catagory.

I have a soft spot in my heart for handicapped children. My puzzling and somewhat unexplainable like-relationship with this game is like that.

Don't know if it's the same issue, but I (others have reported this as well) have had several instances where I wasn't able to pick the ball up with the OF. He'll run in a circle around the ball, unable to grab it. Don't recall the ball 'warping' though.

I actually had this happen to me pre-patch with Milwaukee, Bill Hall hit a line drive to right center and the center fielder was unable to pick up the ball resulting in an Inside the park HR. the fielder just ran around in place while the ball sat at the wall.

I've seen this happen without the patch.It rarely happens though, but when it does, it ruins that current game...Especially if it happens late in the game.

People have different ideas of what rarely might be. I've had it happen three times in the equivalent probably 15 full games. That's a lot in my book.

I just had a weird thing happen that has never happened before. Had a ball hit deep into the right field corner...my guy picked it up just fine, but couldn't throw it!

Cost me the game.

I've seen this happen too...I made a thread about this issue a week or two ago, but noone knew what I was talking about.

I've only seen this happen at a few stadiums though(Angels,Dodgers, and Yankees)

It mostly happens when balls are hit to the right field corner, but I've seen it happen in center field too.It's as if the A.I is suppose to get a man on base at a certain time no matter what.
The statue infielders are the worst though...Every game, I see what should of been an easily scooped up ground ball, turn into a hit because I couldn't move my infielder!

This is my biggest gripe with the game and it should of been fixed before the framerate issue.

Shouldn't this be posted in the bugs/glitches etc. thread. You guys kill me. First you whined and cried for days and days and posted negative rantings about the game because you didn't get the patch when you wanted it and your 60 dollars blah blah blah, now you get the patch and it's a bug according to some of you. Sitting here reading things like this is pure comedy. Absolutely ridiculous and mindless IMO.

yeah no ****, this is ridiculous, guys, the game has bugs, the same as any other game, i guarantee you the patch didn't ADD bugs because they didn't even tweak gameplay, all they did was fix framerate and the Brewers franchise glitch from what i can tell.
