I have only played a couple of innnings so far, but I had more hits in the hole in those three innings than the previous month. It would be nice if we got a list of what was tweaked so we can have it "ready" when the roster update arrives.

Ps3 updates aren't available until the PSN store is done apparantly. Talk to Sony - that's all them, not 2k.

First it was MS holding them up on the Xbox and now it's Sony holding them up on the PS3. Yet The Show can pushed out a roster update today.

There's always an excuse with 2k.

well, the game does play better with the patch. i just finished my first game. i decided to play all star default to see if they balanced out anything else.

there were 3 errors for sea (CPU) and my team committed 2. one error on the CPU was wrongly called. i hit the pitcher with a hit and it was judged an error.

i went into 10 innings because i still cant get used to the base running buttons yet and cost me at least 1 run, likely 2. i gave up 3 HRs but only one in the first 9 innings. ibanez is a beast in my franchise the first 7 games of the season. he hit a 2-0 pitch out.

there is still a slight slow down here and there, but nothing that affects game play. after 5 stutters each play to one every few plays on foul balls and such is a huuuuuuuuge improvement.

the swing stick was easier for me too. i am not sure why. but the first several times i tried it, i could not hit a thing.

it was hard to decipher balls and strikes so i swung at everything. with practice i may get better but the few balls i did try to take were called strikes. i tried it with strikezone off. i think the cpu throws too many strikes, but i wont change anything for about 4 games.

i will post more tomorrow.

Am I the only one getting annoyed by everyone saying now that the patch is out that things have been changed? They haven't. The gameplay is still the same. I won 9-8 last night against Oakland, OMG!!! This is so gay! The offense has been increased!

That's not the issue. It was stated a few times - ronnie on 2K forums said it again yesterday - that they've yet to figure out how to fix the framerate issue on the PS3, and are still working on it.

What does it do? I think that it makes the game worse. Does it reset your sliders that were preset before the update?

I have to say the framerate is not 100% fixed. Improved, but not fixed. As far as increase in offense....I don't know about all that. I restarted my franchise once the Padres glitch was resolved and played the first three games against HOU and saw 4 homers total and final scores of 5-3, 6-2, and 5-2. In addition, at least three of those homers came off my mistake throwing a meatball. So in actuality, if played correctly and mistake free those scores would have been lower.

never saw this before the patch. I was playing OAK w/TOR. They subbed someone in for Ellis at 2B. Anytime this player came to bat (and he was up like 4 times in the game..can't remember his name, though) My pitch cursor was stuck directly along the ground. I had to bounce ever pitch (which resulted in plenty of passed balls and the only run I allowed). Even the payoff pitch cursors would be in the dirt. I couldn't move the cursor up or down, just left to right. Only for this one batter -- weird.

That's not the issue. It was stated a few times - ronnie on 2K forums said it again yesterday - that they've yet to figure out how to fix the framerate issue on the PS3, and are still working on it.

I thought they werent fixing the framerate issue on PS3? If they are then take your time, its only mildly annoying (hardly noticeable atleast in aerial view)

I guess Ben Brinkmans "PS3 guy" that was hired on specifically to work on PS3 isnt as good as he thought.

Also, Not sure is this was an issue on 360, because I play PS3 - but after I would have a conference on the mound my pitcher would throw a pitch without me doing anything, if this was a problem on 360 is it patched?

Reading this thread, it is amazing how messed up this game was/is.

Teams not being able to adjust lineups. The CPU not stealing. The email being a year off. The game freezing all the time.

Look, video games should be fun, not a headache just to play a game or use the games basic features. I am so dissapointed in 2k8. I loved 2k7, even pre-patch. 2K8 is just horrible and next year I am going to wait until I read some reviews before I buy.
