I had the AI steal on me 2 times lastnight. Game runs alot better now IMHO.

You must have gotten the platinum patch...I heard it was something 2K was doing...It's similar to their card system where you have the three different tier's of cards (Black, Gold, Platinum). Lucky you man, you got the platinum patch which fixes everything.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeComment

It depends on the team you chose for your profile. If you chose a team like the Royals or the Rays, you automatically get the Platinum Patch because you are obviously in for a long season with or without a playable game. Now, if you have chosen a Tier 1 team, such as the Tigers, Mets, or RedSox, etc... you have less of a chance at getting the Platinum DL, but still a fair shot. Now, if you have chosen the Yankees as your favorite team, you have no shot at the Premium download, but it does not matter as the world is revolving around you anyway.

I guess it's a coincidence for me too then....I had ZERO steal attempts in 30 games pre-patch and I've had 4 in 7 games post-patch...I got the platinum patch too I guess...and yes my pre-patch 2nd base steal slider was at 100...Comment

From my understanding based on feedback from around these boards and the 2K Boards is if you have Sliders set at default settings like Pro, All Star, ect then the CPU will Hit & Run and Steal.
However, if you make even the slightest adjustment to any of those sliders they become CUSTOMIZED Sliders and then it seems like the CPU will not Hit & Run or Steal.....(regardless of how high you set those specific sliders)
If I am wrong than forgive me...but I too am also noticing NO Steals or Hit and Runs PRE and POST PATCH and I have customized sliders based off the PRO settings.
(maybe higher customized settings do work?? ....can anyone confirm?)Comment

Sorry, add me to the list of "premium dwnloads". I have had 2 hit and runs and 2 steals on me in my first three games of my new franchise since the patch. Played 1st 16 games pre-patch and had 1 suicide and 1 hit and run.
Coincidence, probably. All I know is it seems more peole have been coming on and noticing more attempts at steals lately. Still not the right amount. I am playing with bigfnjoes sliders and the steal and hit n run are maxed out. I would figure more attempts with them that high, but what I have seen in 3 games has impressed me already.
(Guess cause that impresses me it makes me a fanboy
Just thought I'd throw that out there before someone else did.)

The CPU is stealing on me and I'm using my updated "Bad Back" Sliders. Example, last night I was playing as the White Sox vs the Twins (cpu). I was up 2-1 top of the 8th. I walked Carlos Gomez to start the inning. On the second pitch he steals 2nd to get into scoring position, the next batter hits a double right over the first base bag and gomez comes into score. Game tied and I had a grin from ear to ear. Its exactly that kind of scenario that I have not seen at all before the patch and now its there.Comment
