    My first experience with 2k8

I just played the game on the wekend and i wasnt hoping a lot because of the post here that says the game is crap.......

First thing i do : Update the game, so i havnt the chance to play it whitout it...

So i started a game.... the graphics are okay, almost same as last year but a little less, still looks good (exept for a-rod, wtf the designer was thinking) boston vs yankees, the new pitching was easy to learn 4 me in about 5 pitches, fielding easy too( i have MVP 06), but when i was batting, i feel something is wrong... hitting the ball was easy, but when you want to hit a ground ball to the oposite field, i think the timming was right and the batter hit a fly ball, so i gues this game is about hitting the ball no matter were it goes......

i dont know if i was lucky or some people are wrong but i played almost 5 games and i didnt see a glitch or bug or freezes in a night of play....

a wrong thing is thati hit in a game about 8 homers,.. one by elsbury in the bottom of the 9 to put my team(red sox's) down by one... i lost the game..

Another wrong thing: the rosters, all the teams lineups were srewed up 2k need to release an updated roster....

Overall i feel the game is good, maybe some people dont like it because they dont know how to play it or because the bating is arcadey, but if you can handle that the game gives a good and funny experience, the game have almost every player batting stances and great animations(sometimes looks choppy) and for the hardcore gamers they can adjust the sliders to stop the homer-fest, this game is better to play with a fiend because it can be boring sometimes playing alone.... but is a good experience to any baseball fan.

5 games is too small of a sample size. I didn't notice any bugs/freezes until at least 10 games into my season. The little glitches I've noticed are minor and I think you have to expect them in a game this deep.

However, I have had 2 freezes in the last 4 games I've played. (I've played about 20 total). They will drive you nuts... especially if it happens late in the game (both of mine game in the 8th inning in games I would have won). I'm below .500 in my franchise, so I needed those.

Too many homeruns? Adjust your sliders. I changed mine a little after every game for the first 10 games and I like where they are now.

Rosters. I downloaded the one Chris J Nelson made... its fantastic!

As long as you're having fun, that's all that matters!...Don't pay attention to the negative stuff here about the game. You tried it and know how it plays. Lots of people here are enjoying the game. The guys here that love the game know their baseball and will help you enjoy it even more. These are good people and they will help you tweek the game further with rosters, sliders etc.

Have fun and enjoy the game!!

      peace
