    Freezing In Franchise Mode

so im about 40 games invested in to my franchise is with the LAA. Im having this odd and frustrating problem with freezing. Basically my next game in the schedule is against Tampa bay, regardless of whether i simulate the game or play, the game freezes when i make a choice. I try all the other modes and they work fine. It's only freezing when i specifically try to play or simulate this scheduled game. I cant pass or skip the game without it freezing.
do i basically have to start all over with a new franchise? This is really irritating since ive already invested all this time into this franchise.

I feel your pain I had the same thing happen to me. I deleted all my files and started over and simmed out the entire 1st year just to see if it would freeze again, and so far nothing. I don't know whats up. I would recommend saving multiple franchises if you have room and hope maybe one of them doesn't get a freeze glitch. Right now for me I basically save after every game, every roster move anything I do, just incase something happens.

    Good luck.

Is there a fix for freezing like last year? When u put all your saved info on a memory card. I remember i did that for last years game n it seemed to prevent most freezes, though i think it still froze a few times but now nearly as much as when i had everything on the HDD.

Im going to try this out n see how it works.
      NHL-Montreal Canadiens
      MLB-New York Yankees
      NFL-Green Bay Packers

For some reason these 2K sports games always freeze at some point in the franchise mode. I owned ESPN 2K5 and after 3.5 seasons in franchise- the game froze- I tried buying a second copy, mem card, nothing worked. Then I owned ESPN Baseball and after 1/2 a season- it froze. NHL 2K6- froze after 2 years in franchise. Now MLB 2K8- Froze after 1 season- I can't sim, play, nothing beyond where I'm at- extremely frustrating. Anyone know why 2K has all these problems?

I think you should just wait for MLB 2K9, or another baseball game if you own a different system.....
