    Trade

So I'm trying to keep my NYMets franchise realistic, I figure with such a solid roster allready I shouldnt be making too many unbalanced trades. At this point in the year I havent made any moves beyond callups and senddowns and my team is about a couple games over .500, two games back of the Phillies in the NL East. Pitching is definitely my weak point, specifically my bullpen, and after Wagner blew another save I decided a needed a right handed stud out of the pen. I looked and saw that Minny was last in the Central, and at about 5/8 through my 40 game season, thought I would try to get Nathan. I did the acquire player search for him and it said Heilman, and two bad minor leaguers. I definitely wanted to trade away Heilman, as he is an 80 that i had in the minors cuz he wasnt pitching well. This didnt seem fair as it was so i took away the two bad minor leaguers and put in Briugos or sumthin my 23, 73 rated closer at AAA with good potential and my 3rd starter in AAA, what do you think? realistic trade that kept it fair for both team? Those 3 guys for Nathan?

I would say yes. Look at what the Twins took for Santana. I was able to get John Lackey from the Angels for Jeff Suppan, Russel Branyon, and some junk guy from the minors. That REALLY helped the starting rotation for my Brewers. I usually choose to accept whatever they want cause its rare you get an offer like you and I did. Most of the time if you go for a high end player they want a LOT in return. I tend to think that if they are willing to offer you Nathan for Heilman and junk then they must be low on Nathan or want to drop his contract and they are really high on Heilman. If I were you I'd pull the trigger on the first offer you made. Hope this helps!
I WOULD TRADE EVERY GAME I OWN JUST TO HAVE A PERFECT MADDEN.....

Minny in last, and a small market team...Giving up 3 young arms for their closer who they have no use for, and is trade bait considering their record...Sure I think it's fair.

How about Matt Morris for Brendan Morrow? Couldn't believe they went for that one. Hell, might as well just give me Felix, too. And I even lowered MM's ratings a bit before I started the dynasty. Of course, in an ironic twist, the game froze before I saved (had just started the dynasty) and haven't felt like starting a new one & having to re-input the sliders...

It may be fair, but considering the Twins just signed Nathan to a long term contract that makes him one of the highest paid closers, it's extremely unrealistic, even if the Twins are last.
