    Anyone still playing 2k7?

Since I've put 2k7 back in... I haven't stopped playing it. The game looks better and even at 30fps, I like the gameplay better - didn't think so until I played my first game.

    I missed my old buddy...

I wish there were some 2008 rosters.. maybe I'll start a fantasy draft and play.

That game was hot trash. Its 2k8 without the new pitching and even worse gameplay. So to answer you, no not playing that one or this. My 3 year old however prefers 2K over the show so I had to keep it.

I still play 2K7 and really enjoy the game. It's real easy to get lost in the atmosphere. While it has a few drawbacks (mainly HR's being robbed for me) it is a great game.

All of that being said, I don't play sports games nearly as much as I used to, mainly do to the bugs from this year's crop of games. I have been getting more into shooters and action games that don't have bugs and truly show innovation.

After not being happy with 2k8 for awhile, I put in 2k7 and was amazed at how vibrantly colorful the game is. The graphics in 2k8 are a step down, and the mods said this was to speed up gaemply/online (Oops).

I like the zone pitching with the "2 circles" that must be stopped on the aim circle. For me, with reasonable difficulty sliders, it often resulted in a pitch that was in the "area" I was thorwing to, but not perfect pitches ... and pitching when your pitcher is tired is very difficult and the increased difficulty in tight situations was cool.

It was also nice to have a batters eye that locked in place like it is supposed to. It was also refreshing to have Jose Reyes bunt for a hit and then attempt to steal second base ... since that won't happen on 2k8.

But, after trying 2k8 some more and actually being able to use different opponent uniforms in frnachise mode, and getting really good with the TPC pitching, throw meter, and SS2.0 ... 2k8 is paying very well for me (SFG's sliders, but with AI IF Reaction lowered by 10 clicks to decrease all the darn diving plays).

THe challnege/realism of the new controls and being able to use alternate unis (opponents) in franchise play are big nudges to 2k8, but 2k7 is still a decent game.

For a bit I went back to MVP05, and even that great game has some things that are less than ideal.

2k8 with the right sliders, tailored for your preference/skill, plays rather well ... although the game seems to be much more work for the customer than the developers. But, once you get it set and get pretty good with pitching and directional hitting .... it's fun and replayable.

hey no problem. and since its finally summer, i should be able to find some free time to tweak with the rosters. im a huge cardinals fan, and i live in wisconsin, so i already worked on the rosters for those two teams, since its a rivalry for me and my friends.
