Blue Shift to make MLB 2K9?
If Blue Shift makes 2K9 that is very good news for us gamers. I still play ESPN Baseball on my PS2 it is a fun game witout all the bugs that plague all the new versions. I heard the X-Box version has bugs but the PS2 version is good. It has good batting it has high heat style hitting with power pitching. The fielding is smooth. I hope Blue Shift can remake a simllar game to this one. They need to ace all the new features that dont work like the bad busrunning, and fielding that is broken and hitting that doesnt work. This was 2K/vc best baseball effort by far. I heard others on this board say good things about this game. It is still my favorite, I hope Blue Shift will bring back the magic. I'm in the process of trying to fix the rosters which is a huge task to say the leastTags: None -

ESPN Baseball was certainly much better than anything Kush has put out in the past four years. Just don't expect much. I doubt they can do much with this series at this point, other than to fix the bugs, maybe add some presentation, and fine tune the rest. Especially since they're no doubt behind schedule now, plus they're working with a game they're unfamiliar with. -

Darn, I was hoping they would be smart enough to break out the old code and build it from this game (ESPN Baseball) rather then use crappy engine that kush used. I thought the BIGS was a better game then 2K maybe they will use that engine. I don't know much about this stuff the only thing I know is that I think the Show is a bit borring and the 2K game is just plain broken.Comment

I'm getting a ps3 in a couple of weeks in time for metal gear solid 4. I may pick up the show cause I hear nothing but good things, but I still am actually enjoying 2k8. Still, if the show is as good as I've heard, I've got to check it out since I love baseball video games anyway.Check out my updated 2017 blog on building a high school football video game:

It's the same engine. It's been mentioned several times, and by people who worked on the game, that Kush simply tweaked the old ESPN Baseball code each year. In other words, way overdue for a complete overhaul. And the game shows it.Comment

Re: Blue Shift to make MLB 2K9?
It sux because in 2 years The Bigs did many things right. Such as Stadiums, player details, grass, and animations and fluid FPS. Sux they would have to redo alot of things like tone down player models, though stadiums look great they look a little arcady so they would need to reworked as well as some animations.
But the point is they did that with no previous baseball game before and given 2 years they pumped that out. They really need to split the teams like Triple play and MVP did and build a new game from scratch. There is just 2 many problems and to have the smae problems plague for 4 years is rediculous. Especially using a engine from the old xbox.Comment
