Maybe I'm losing it here but I have been using Chris Nelsons rosters since I got this game and just today I downloaded the June 4th 2K sports rosters and played a game. I'm telling you something is different about them. I noticed a few animations that I have never seen before and hit types that I havent seen before also. Plus there were alot more groundballs and less power on batted balls. It was very obvious. At one point I had a 90% / 5% / 5% groundball/flyball/strikeout ratio with Oliver Perez in the 5th aganist the Yankees. I'm going to have to play more tonight and see how it goes, but I was just wondering if anyone else has seen this also. By the way I was still using the my same set of MLB The Experience sliders, so that didnt change.

Now that you mentioned it, before the roster update I was hitting around 4 home runs a game with the power slider down to 0, and hits per game were varying between 9-14, since then im only averaging about 8 hits and 1 home run a game, and almost every time i hit the ball it jumps off the bat and ends up being a deep flyout
But a roster update is just a roster update it would be odd if it changed the gameplay -

Or you guys are just thinking its different when it's really not. Keep playing with the rosters and see if its consistent. Most likely, its just that 1 or 2 games that you somehow had a more realistic game.Comment

I believe they changed things like "doubles power"
For instance they boost Ryan Church to an 80 overall but if you make all the visible changes to him on the default roster he only goes up to a 78 overall.NBA 2K25 Roster: Real 2K Rosters - Modern Era

Guys I have played about 6 more games since the first post and there is a big change in this game now with the newest roster update. I have even been playing on Pro, All-Star and Legend default settings and its like a different game. Even on Legend they aren't hitting HRs like crazy, which was the problem since this game first came out. Also the AI pitchers are throwing balls and wild pitches even with the Sliders for AI Throw Strikes at default 50. I'm going to keep trying the default sliders with the newest update and keep stats and see what I come up with.Last edited by DanSF49; 06-18-2008, 03:22 PM.Comment

A roster update will not effect your current franchise you would have to start another one. But download them first and play a few games and see if you notice a difference.Comment
