Why does 2k insist on limiting franchise?

I'm the type of person that likes to play with multiple teams during franchise mode. Even though my favorite team is the Blue Jays I like to play with other teams too. They insist on strictly limiting the gamer to 4 teams only and I hate it, it's a major turn off for me. If i'm a major league baseball fan even though I have a favorite team i don't ever want to be told I can't watch a Yankee game or a Red Sox game or even the Pirates or Reds. But that's exactly what they do when they limit you.
I hate it and it's a turn off.

It sucks, but that's what it's like in most baseball games I've played, some even more limited. The show only 2 teams, mvp 05 I think only 2 teams(maye only 1). But, I do wish we could have control of any amount of the teams if we wanted.

Amen. And another problem is, that they fill the franchise mode with so much other junk that you don't even need that they might as well let you play with as many teams as you want.

There's a few things I wish franchise mode had .. first, something like a trading block similar to Madden. I'd like to see a list of guys that clubs are looking to get rid of, maybe they're costing too much money or aren't happy with their situation or whatever. It doesn't have to be all top-tier players .. maybe the same people that clubs are offering when you do the trade finder.

In regards to actual trades, I'd like to see more counteroffers. Instead of just telling me 'that trade doesn't help us enough', tell me who else you want from my team. Or tell me that I don't have what it takes to get your player. I do occasionally see it say 'give us more' .. like when i was trading my older 86 rated SP (plus a mid 70's RP) for their young 84 rated SP. I added in a mediocre AAA RP and they were happy.

Fix things like when I sign a FA SP, and go to my pitching rotation, he doesn't show up. I have to go to some other screen just so it will tell me my rotation is fubar and it wants to fix it (where I can't leave the screen unless I say "ok" .. so why bother asking if I have no choice? lol.

Or when I call up a RP and send down a RP, it tells me the minor league team needs to be adjusted. It's a 1 for 1 swap .. just figure it out and do it. I can see if I send a 3B down for a SP ...

Also, quit asking my pointless things. Like when I start the game up, it asks what storage device I want to use .. when I only have a HDD connected. Can't it just assume to use the 1 option is has to choose from? Or after that, the 12 things you have to click "ok" to .. loading profile, ok, loading roster, ok, loading 2K beats, ok, etc etc.

Or after a game is over, and I want to hurry up and exit before it freezes up .. it has to immediately go into some replays while at the same time loading music and voiceovers and trying to put stats on the screen or whatever. The framerate just slows down to a drag, and all i want to do is push the "A" button to get outta there.

Quit making me adjust the batting camera each time I load my franchise. It's saves my VIP profile when I exit the menu, so why isn't it saving that? Just a minor annoyance but should be easily fixed.

Anyway, I'm done ranting. Just fix the 'little' things like freezing and framerate and I'll be happy.
