    Pitcher stamina management tips?

It seems when I'm pitching, the longer I hold the first gesture movement (making the green circle as big as possible), the quicker my pitcher tires out. Of course that seems obvious and makes sense.

However, WHEN should I be throwing those types of pitches, and when should I 'back off' on a pitch? Here's what I do right now .. tell me if you do anything different:

When I'm facing average batters, I usually let the green circle fill up 50% or so before starting the 2nd gesture. Except in situations where I need to do all I can to strike the guy out (like if I'm leading 3-2 in the bottom of the 9th). Should I be pitching at full power to average batters to increase the chance of striking them out regardless of the game situation?

When I'm facing the good batters, I try to get that green circle as close to 100% as possible. I may back off if I know the pitch is going out of the strike zone. Should I be throwing a ball with the same power as a strike? Does it help 'sell' the pitch so the batter takes a swing at it?

The easiest question to ask, I guess, is when should I pitch at full power, and when should I back off on a pitch?

    Thanks!
