Patch?? Title update??

I just threw this game into the 360 for the first time in like 3 weeks, and it discod me from live and said there was an update...does anyone know what that update is for???

Nope..nothing for me (PS3)...I don't even think PS3 got the first title update.

Maybe you cleared your cache or something recently and then it prompted you to re-download it?

Yeah, I threw it in on the 360, but thanks for replying. Haven't cleared the cache, as I have been hooked on Madden, Head Coach and NCAA for the last 3-4 weeks.

I don't know, but I do know it kicked me out and updated, then brought me right back...and it was the game, nothing to do with the system.

Thanks opd, yeah I haven't played in like 3 weeks, but i did download the first patch way back when. I just felt like some baseball and threw it in, and viola.......

I am hoping someone gets this also, or I am going to the doctor tmrw.

Just checked the game with my 360 and did not get a prompt for an update. Again, I played a couple of nights ago and didn't get anything then either so I dunno.

lol...thats why I pretty much buy everything for the 360, my PS3 always seems too be the red headed step child when it comes to patches.

Wow, that sucks. Maybe I did clear the cache somehow, but its not like there is a "clear the cache" button on my controller. Thanks for checking, I appreciate it, I really have no idea what the hell it was then.

What was the first patch for again?

I remember downloading the stadiums and such, was it something along that time line that I just forgot about?

On the 360 it was to fix the framerate issues that the game was having and to address the San Diego Padres lineup bug.

I wish that whenever there's an auto-update, they'd include a short list of what it's about. It's so annoying just getting the update and not knowing what's changed or included or decluded or whatever and whatever

I don't think it was the "2nd" patch. I checked the 2K forums and there was no mention of it. I too just started playing MLB2K8 again the other day and got a patch after not playing for months. But I doubt if it really had anything to to do with 2K releasing anything new.
