No doubt he improved it, but it didn't make anywhere near the jumps it should have in the 2 years.
One thing this game (and probably every sports game) needs is someone on board who is not a programmer, but is just simply a person of great knowledge of the sport. There are so many things in this game and every sport game that are just wrong to the sport, that someone needs to be there to say "Hey, Greg Maddux doesn't throw a 4 seam fastball" or "There is no way a catcher would call changeup at the letters". I think a major problem with todays sports games is that the people in charge may not know a whole lot of the details about the sport.

I hope to God they realize that each minor league level should not be required to carry a roster consisting of exactly 25 men. For all the flaws this game has, I thought it was decent, but being forced to carry exactly 25 men on all four rosters made roster management a ridiculous chore in Franchise.
Of course, if Dawson gets hot, and
      Sutcliffe comes through, and....
Pa, see what you did to me?

Also Ben Brinkman was not at all what he was made out to be and he cut and ran.
I wanted to comment on the Ben Brinkman cut and ran comment...

I wonder since NFL 2k5 is gone and all of the talks bewtween T2 and EA that we have been hearing about has caused all of the serious talent at VC to look elsewhere to improve their skills? I really like their effort with this years hockey but graphically, (player models only) it is still light years behind EA's. Does T2 provide the programmers and developers the tools they need to make their sports games better looking and playing as EA does?

I don't know this answer and maybe they do but it just makes me wonder. I know when big companies start talks with other companies it makes the workers start to look elsewhere before they potentially lose their jobs. Especially the good talent! There are only so many of those positions available and I would think- go very quickly.

Brinkman did not cut and run. 2K LA folded and was absorbed by Visual Concepts; Brinkman didn't want to relocate his family.

I really couldnt agree with more with everyones comments on here. It has been a ruff ride for 2k to say to the least. The leap over to next gen was terrible their games have looked light years behind EA like someone said. I think the company is flat out in shambles. I think their is alot of factors why most of the sports games look and play the way they do from 2k. First is turnover rate, from programmers to new developers and keeping artists. Those things right there, nothing can ever move in the right direction if you can't build a solid team and build on that, if your constintely bringing new people in every year to clean up the mess they made last year nothing will happen.

Someone was talking about given the tools to work with. I dont think that is to much the case i think the problem is less artists working on the game vs turnover vs pay. And this is pure speculation but from the financial troubles 2k is in just like other companys they are cuting costs so that has a big effect. It makes me so angry cause mlb2k9 will probably be just like 2k9 i can put money on that. They have switch developers, new commentary, new engine since kush took it. What was the last baseball game VC made? it will be that engine hi res 2k will sugar coat the game with cool new menus. But that game will look like garbage i think if they can say alright forget the graphics there is nothing we can do and just work on animations and a glitch free game i think i could be alright with that.

We shall see, it is a shame, Ill be honest with you it has been a disgusting run for sports games from the Next Gen on both sides EA and 2k.
