AI Stolen Base Issue Discovered
It all stems from the 2K rosters themselves. Last night I did a test and discovered that the lack of stolen bases comes from the setting "Steal" and just below that "Aggressiveness" setting within each player edit. I just tried moving the steal setting all the way up, but it still didn't seem to work too much, but when you move both of them together ("Steal" and "Aggressiveness"), viola! I played a game yesterday with both of those settings jacked up and it really made the game a lot harder. There were a lot more hit and runs and sac bunts, and finally stolen bases. The unfortunate thing is that this has been discovered so late in the roster distribution, that there might have been a chance to have 2K fix this a lot earlier. So the game isn't broken it's the rosters themselves. You will see that under most player edits' that they might have a C+ or even a B rating, but yet their steal setting is an F, which doesn't make any sense to me. So if anyone wants to try this make sure that you move both the "Steal" slider as well as the "Aggressiveness" slider just beneath it. Give it a try it works. LaterTags: None -

All of this was tried and tested months ago by a number of posters here, including myself: Stealing, Aggressiveness, you name it. The steals in the game are from few and far between to non-existent, regardless of where player ratings are set. It's a programming issue with the game itself.
