Comparing HH Gameplay To WSB
Okay, I've been hearing a lot about HH's gameplay. Apparently, it is king in this arena. I'd like more experienced HH gamers to tell me what they find about HH that is more real or better in terms of gameplay than WSB. As I understand it, WSB also has variable pitching that can be tuned to allow for walks based ona pitcher's skills. Aside from the cursor batting, what does HH do that WSB doesn't? Isn't both capable of tuining to realistic results? Especially interested in hearing from Cookie.Tags: None -
Re: Comparing HH Gameplay To WSB
WSB does have variable pitching. But what happen is that more often than not if you try to pitch on the corners instead of just missing by a few inches, it will groove it right down the middle. That is hard to deal with because the CPU swings at almost every single strike that you throw. Also the cpu batters are very easy to strike out. Why, I don't know, but they swing and miss a lot. With High Heat you feel your pitcher. If I start to miss with my pitcher, there are times when I aim for the outside corner and it ends up high and tight. When pitchers make mistakes on pitching they usaully don't make the mistake of leaving it right down the pipe. In WSB I would thro between 15-20 balls per game, in HH 30-40 (which is much more realistic).
Camera angles make it hard to see which path the ball is going. I have had quite a few singles turn into double and even triples because it is hard to judge where the ball is going to go.
Other than that, there are a decent amount of hits in WSB and the baserunning AI is pretty decent. There are not a lot of glitches which is nice.
The main reasons I chose HH over WSB is because HH gameplay is more realistic, and the games take a lot less time in HH. If you want to play all the games, HH is the way to go. Games take 20-30 minutes. In WSB, games take 30-45 minutes. This may not seem like a lot, but in a 162 game season you could get in 54 more games in the same amount of time of HH as you can on WSB. -

Re: Comparing HH Gameplay To WSB
Well let me tell you this
Both games are good games, you cant loose with owning any of these titles. Its up to preference!! If you are a stats junky and are real indepth with numbers i truly reccomend HH for you, my only gripe with this game is the franchise mode. Compared with the others its mediocre. If you want replay value and killer graphics get WSB. I think this franchise mode is awesome everyday i see something that i never seen before. The only thing is that you have to set the game to your liking to get realistic numbers, but is possible. If you have the money get both!!Comment

Re: Comparing HH Gameplay To WSB
I haven't played WSB enough to say if you can adjust it to get more walks, the little I have played it seemed like with pitch variability on high that it could be cool. On medium it is way to easy to throw the ball right where you want it, until you get fatigued or you could turn off the strike zone and vibration thing.Comment
