I am considering that!!!! Actually I was thinking of just using it as an extra DVD player. Hopefully it won't lock up on them too though.

Seriously though funcoland will give me 110 bucks credit. All they fo when they test it is check 2-3 diskd to make sure that it works. I know that it works for that......just WSB will lock it up after a while.

Is it morally right to do that? Seeing as it may have a defect and all.

        Any advice?

I don't see a problem with that. They test the unit, offer a warranty to the new buyer including an extended warranty.

One thing you might want to try though is a good surge protector or plugging the XBOX into another outlet. Sometimes too many things plugged in the same outlet causes electronics to hiccup. You'd be surprised how many times something so simple fixed so many problems when I did tech support.
