I used to be a 2k fan but since 2k8 was a total bust. I got a PS3 and 2k8 is not even in the same league as The Show. The Show is 10 times better. The change to VC maybe an improvement but I still don't think it will be better then The show. I am sure most of you baseball lovers can't afford a PS3 and when both games come out and 2k9 stinks this year, I would try to get a PS3 and The Show 09 its way worth it. But the jury is still out since its to early. But my bet is The Show by a mile with the new info coming out. I mean 2k9 doesn't have any info at all except Tim Lincecum doing Mo-Cap. Who the Heck want's to see that. I want to see screen shots or info on the game. Marketing at 2k is really bad. They should have got a jump start ahead of The Show on releasing info early since they lied last year. Thats my 2 cents. I know I will get slammed but thats my opinion.

Big-Yes MLB08 had flaws I wont argue with that. But MLB 2k8 had a major flaw you couldn't play the game.:wink: But I have confidence in MLB09. Plus all games have flaws no game is perfect.Comment

It depends on what you mean by 'better'...
Certainly The Show is a quality title, but the outdated hitting and pitching system is a little archaic.
Of course 2k needs to tune their hitting system, but last year's pitching system was pretty good...Provided your controller was fairly new...Using an older controller I noticed pitching was nowhere near as crisp.
And then there was that Maetball thang'....
2k needs to brutally beef up the CPU A.I. for things like stealing, hit and run, and having pitchers throw a REALISTIC amount of BALLS!!!
If they do these things they too will have a quality title...

I love this logic. Becuase they have release five screen shots three months prior to release their game has to be better.
You realize they put that info out just the other day, not two months ago. Does that mean last Friday, when neither game had released any screen shots, the games were going to be identical.
I don't see the point of this post at all except to flame. You've made your point several times that "The Show" will be better and you are done with 2K, so why continue to come back to the 2K boards...seems that you should stictly be on "The Show" boards.Comment

I am not flaming 2k baseball games becuase I used to love them. I liked the pitching and batting in 2k8 but the game has no presentation, the announcing sucks and the graphics dont compare to The show 08. MLB 2k7 had great graphics but they dumbed that down for the new pitching and hitting. I am not putting down 2k baseball. I am stating a fact.Comment

Ever hear of it? I know that they just put out the screen shot for MLB 09 and everyone is creaming over them. They are just screen shots and they mean nothing.
