Anyone know if 2K9 will have the 2K8 options for hitting and pitching
Bascially will you still be able to use the Swing Stick 2.0 version again in 2K9 or have they removed that, also the pitching, I always used the classic pitching which i forget the name of now tho, where you hold the pitch button in and a circle expands, you then release and hit it again when it snaps backTags: None -

Pitching:
- Unique pitching controls with increased accessibility for pick-up-and-play users.
- Improved pitching controls - Simplified controls to 2-step pitching – hold and gesture
- Catcher’s will call for pitches according to the hitter’s weaknesses
Hitting:
- Influence hit – The users will be able to influence a fly ball or groundball with new controls.
- New bunting controls – Improved bunting will make it easier to lay down a bunt.
- Zone hitting – Users will be able to put the bat on the ball with our new zone hitting feature.
- Hit distribution – Improved hit distribution for a wide variety of hits.
Looks like the pitching controls are reverting back to pre-2K8, with the exception of pinpoint pitching or whatever it is you use. So you might be good there. Hitting seems to be going back to 2K7 (hit influence, or swing stick version 1) and 2K5 (zone). Hard to tell with that write-up if swing stick version 2 will still be in the game though. -

I can't speak for the hitting engine. But, I took the feature list, especially the "gesture" mention, to imply TCP was coming back.Comment
