The only reason why 2K has taken a step back is because they don't have any compitition. Look at it this way, the PS3/PS2 owners are always gonna buy The Show every year no matter what because that has been the main baseball game on that platform. But the 360 only has 2k, which most baseball gamers who have a 360 are forced to buy the 2k game.
There are alot of people who don't have the money to drop 500 bucks on a system just for a video game. To me, thats just ********. But I think if we had MVP baseball all these years on the 360, 2k would take a different approach. I mean 2k started making big strides when EA had MVP because 2k had competition. 2k knows that even if they loose sales for the PS3 they always got the 360 to fall back on.
Thats what it all comes down too IMO, Competition.
