    any Wii players??

Hi. I'm a long time ps2 owner and now my family owns a wii.

My biggest fear with the wii is my games --- Madden, Baseball, etc would not be too fun for an old guy like me.

Surprisingly, the Madden game is fun and very playable.

What about a game like MLB 2k8 or 2K9? I just don't want to purchase a baseball game that is anything similar to what came with the wii --- that game is horrible.

I've played countless seasons on MVP 2004 and MLB the Show (2007 and 2008) and am hoping I can get my baseball fix with the Wii this year.

    Thanks for your help.

I actually have a topic in this forum that has not received any replies about comparing the 2k8/2k9 PS2 and Wii versions, but it has not received any responses. I have played 2k8 on 360 and Wii and my main complaint has been the graphics of 2k8 on wii. Wii cannot output like 360 or PS3, but they could have done a whole lot better. I would assume 360 controls are fairly similiar to the PS2 controls and I was pretty pleased with them although when 2k8 was first released many people complained. Personally I liked the controls better than The show.

Now as for the controls on the wii, there are some differences from the 360 version that are for the better and some they just completely messed up on. I think if they thought logically on 2k9 they could actually make 2k9 pretty good on the wii. Now whether they do that or not is a completely different question. I know I could n't help much and I hope you get some more responses to actually answer your question.
