They look alright, but 2k doesnt have a great track record with the first screens released. Always so touched up.

Show me a sports game that doesn't have a cloned crowd.

My word, people. Are we going to play a game, or count the number of repeating t-shirts in the stands?

Even worse, Hunter doesn't use a black bat at the plate (of course, that's editable).

I only say that because it seemed like 2K7 and 2K8 captured their likeness as well as their equipment quite well. Makes me wonder what else is changed this time around.

It's not necessarily the repeated people as much as it is the repeated animations. As long as they don't follow a pattern (meaning the person doing the animation that's raising his right arm in joy isn't every 8th person while the person taking a sip of his drink isn't every 8th person next to that other guy, etc.) it will look better.

The other issue is that the crowds have a lot of orange and green shirts. I'm sorry, but unless the home team is the Giants/Orioles or the A's, people don't go to games wearing these colors (and if they do, it's one in a hundred or a couple hundred). I preferred the look of MLB 2K6 (at least for Xbox) that had a bunch of white shirts and team-specific colors:

It felt less "generic," if there's such a term. It's a small complaint yes, but it does make the difference.

              Blzer...

I hadn't thought of the animation cycles. But yes, that would be annoying if every 8th person was doing the same thing. It would be a little creepy, actually.

The crowd still looks like a massive improvement over 2K8, however.

That is one ugly looking Josh Beckett. Holy crap. His hair is not nearly that long.

I honestly thought that was supposed to be Junichi Tazawa.

This is a small gripe, but a problem nonetheless.

Is Torii Hunter swinging a golf club?? No.

So why does he have an overlap grip?? Three of his fingers on his top hand are overlapping his bottom hand. It looks awkward and it's over the top even for a golf grip.

You can't really see hunters face, but none of them seem to be particularly good representations.

Lincecum in the first pics was pretty good. Poster boy and all, but that didn't stop them from meh ones in the past.

                        My (albiet minor) observations:

Longoria and Beckett have a gray underbill on their caps, which should be black for all teams.

Beckett's delivery looks a bit odd. His glove is palm up and streched wide open. The undershirt should be red instead of royal(?) blue. Plus, the "B" on his cap is huge!
