2k sweeping PS3 version under the rug again?

it seems all the reviews we have read are for 360, as a ps3 owner i want to know if this game will be up to par with the 360 version, last year 2k swept it under the rug and pretended it didnt exist. i actually like 2k i think the show is a good game but i like the inovative control system with 2k baseball. So please can we get some confirmation that the ps3 game is good also, just because we own a ps3 doesnt mean we should have to buy the show. Lets all remember this game is a multi-platform game, and not exclusive to xbox

The problem is, if you are gamer that is interested in multiplatform games, you are always going to get the short end of the stick on the PS3.

With The Show getting much better reviews last year, and this year looking good, 2K is just not going to invest in marketing for the PS3. Worse, they are not going to invest as much in optimizing for the PS3.

Overall, though, the PS3 version is going to be the same game.

The game will be fine for both systems. The only difference you may see is in Graphics & maybe load times, but that's due to the systems being different.

Did VC sweep NBA 2k9or NHL 2k9 under the rug on PS3 ?

Thats actually true, nba 2k seemed the exact same at a friends house as it did at mine, with VC at the helm this time around it seems likely that mlb 2k9 will be the same on both.

As far as visuals, the PS3 version is inferior for NBA 2K9, and for a graphics whore like me it isn't even close.

As a PS3 user, I'm not sure why I would ignite such a war that sweeps it under the rug. I am, however, simply tired of getting the inferior product constantly. We are more than capable of getting the same, if not greater, treatment than what the 360 versions give us.

That is true but most devs say the 360 is much easier & friendly to develop for, so most multi-platform games are always ported from the 360 to the PS3.

This also, in part, answers the question as to why the reviews have been from the 360 build. It's an easy kit to transport and use (according to what some developers have said) and it also makes sense that they would bring the copy for the system they develop the game on.

I'm more concerned with the support of the PS3's game than the initial performance. Meaning that I don't suspect it will be a huge difference in performance, but I do worry if things go sour they'll pull the plug on PS3 support and concede the system to The Show. This seems to be what happened last year.

I know, I know...different developer. Same concern for me though, until proven otherwise...lol.

For me, The show gets my PS3's attention and I will likely play 2K9 on my 360 when I rent it. That's not an option everyone has, which hopefully VC remembers come patch time

BLZER we know your a graphics whore u say it 15 times a day. I own both systems and NBA 2k9 were the same game for both systems. The graphics were not that much different from each other. The 360 version just looked a little more sharper that's it.

I'm with you though. I played it on both and loved it on my PS3. To each his own, I guess.

But in the spirit of debate, look at thier competition in NBA and NHL on PS3.

For the progress Live has made we can say that NBA 2K9 is the show and Live is MLB2K...but...PS3 owners still have a choice as to which title to buy...
