    Virtual Stadium Tour Feature?

Just curious...with all these extra features outside of Franchise Mode that Sports games seem to be offering as the trend nowadays like Baseball Cards, Mascot Games (gag), Mini Games, Be A Pro, etc..etc How come we dont have a feature that would be really appreciated and enjoyed like a Virtual Stadium Tour that would allow a player to virtually walk through any part of all the MLB's ball parks outside and inside the stadium to get a real feel of what it would be like to actually be at that team's ball park??

I would also like a statiscal page that kind of also keeps a bit of history and legend about each ballpark's origin, and other facts. I would think this would serve very rewarding and useful, not to mention incredibly nostalgic for true fans of Americas baseball pastime.... This is something I think I would tremendously appreciate, especially considering what today's graphical technologies could reproduce. I can just imagine walking through the gates and up into the bleachers and being able to actually sit in a FPS mode in any seat of any stadium and be able to freely look around....ahhhh.

Maybe Im alone with this idea...

I think it would be awesome if you could do that, and watch other people's online games. Like if your friend is in an intense game online, you could just take a seat in the stadium and watch it real time.

That would be really nice. It would be great to be able to spectate a game from the stands.

I have never thought about that before. It would be awesome to do that because I know in my lifetime there is no way that I am going to make it to every MLB stadium. I would love to see what its like going to Wrigley Field, Fenway Park, and the old Yankee Stadium. I have only been to the Metrodome, Comerica, and I walked around the outside of Wrigley but thats it. I don't anticpate me going to too many more ballparks except for the new Twins stadium.

Great idea, but I doubt companies would see the value. 15 years ago, the majority of gamers were adults with CPU's. Now kids with consoles outnumber adults by a huge margin. Companies know who their target audience is. Which is why we're seeing the dumbing-down of games: feaures and options that were standard years ago, missing and removed from next-gen games. Kids don't care about that stuff.

Also, it's basically a one and done feature for most people. How many times are you going to tour any given stadium? Probably once, maybe a few times to show your friends or something. So after people check out each stadium, the feature for most probably becomes a useless to them afterwards.

The time to make sure the press boxes, locker rooms, training rooms, hallways, gyms, etc. just doesn't seem worth the reward in my opinion. Seems like it would be an idea better suited for a DVD release than a video game. Plus, personally, I'd rather see real footage of some of these historical stadiums than an atrists computer rendition... Seeing the real statue of Stan Musial outside of Busch would be more meaningful to me than seeing a computer version.

All Star Baseball had somewhat of a similair feature where it would show you the park and point out different areas and such.
