    ::sigh::

    Framerate issue is bugging me... Last year they swore that the game would run at 60FPS around this time & we got a garbage FPS at launch. Even if I see gameplay now that runs smooth I will not trust this until I see it in a retailed game. I WILL NOT BE HAD AGAIN!

        You shouldn't be jacking a bunch of homeruns on default difficulty unless the default is "Preschool easy."

        When will they get it? Teams don't hit 5 homeruns a game.

          It's been that way for a few years now. Think of the settings in 2K baseball as catagories of age-group interest, rather than difficulty level. The easier settings are for kids whose parents buy them they game; they toss it in the console, slam a few HR's and then move on to something else. 2K knows their main audience is mostly kids with no real interest in "baseball".

                Except that last year you could still bash homeruns left and right on the hardest difficulty levels.

                Even bringing power down to zero didn't change much. Or maybe that was 2K7. Eh, I don't know anymore.

                  He's using the default settings, so I'm sure it's as "noob" friendly as possible, so it may just be turned off, just like the 3rd pitching step is by default. There might be a global option to turn it on and off, in addition to a slider to adjust it, similar to how there was a setting last year to change your pitching control method and then a slider to adjust the difficulty of total control pitching.

                    We'll he answered my question by saying he "didn't see a it" in the options, but will keep looking. I'm not to confident right now that it's in the game.

                    My only hope is OS get's a PREVIEW copy & they post screens of the menu system like they did last year & a screen with the actual Slider is in it...

                      Tweaking sliders worked great for me in 2k8.I'm still playing the game because I got it to play how I want...Well, the A.I still doesn't steal(except for Carlos Gomez).

                      The only stat that is unrealistic in my franchise is the amount of doubles and a few players have a little bit more HR's than they should have in late August(But still, not in the 50-60 HR area).But I'm positive that these stats are inflated because I was still messing with the power sliders for me and the A.I about two months into my franchise.

                      Sometimes I'll get bored and sim a few seasons just for fun, and my finished slider set gives players very realistic stats.Usually the doubles leader finishes with about 50-54.The highest HR total I saw was by Ryan Howard, he hit about 58 HR's one year.

                      I did have to edit some players HR and doubles attributes to though, but not a lot(only about 8-10 with 3 being my own players).

                          The guy answering questions doesn't sound like a serious sports gamer. Disappointing, I know.. but maybe someone here at OS will get their hands on a copy soon.

                            Where do you get this from? Here's the quote:

                            Framerate is better than when I saw it a couple weeks ago. Still some hitches when the camera moves quickly but I'm hopeful.
                            That quote never says it's not 60... just that there are hiccups at times when the camera moves fast. It could be running 60 with occasional drops. Please don't put words in people's mouths. There's already enough FUD going on around here.

                              That makes no sense. If there are "hitches", that means the framerate is dropping. And three previews mentioned the slowdown. So Art is 100% correct to post what he did.
