Two years ago, I had WSB2K2 for the Dreamcast. Last year I got ASB after picking up my XBOX. While I was very impressed with ASB’s graphics and details, I found the pace of play to be way too slow, and the pitching way too fast. Hitting for me was just a guessing game. While it produced realistic results, it was pretty boring.
I dusted off the old DC last night and popped in WSB2k2. I couldn’t believe how fun it was. I actually had time to see pitches, and when I struck out, it was because I bit on one that I knew I shouldn’t have…..much better than striking out because of bad guessing (ASB).
For anyone who had the DC, how close is this years Sega’s baseball offering with the DC game? I know the graphics are improved and there are sliders and a behind the pitcher view. But is the feel of the game similar? Is the game pace similar? (anything is an improvement over the paint-drying pace of ASB).
A few other questions:
What are the choices for length of season ? (I’ll never make 162 games)
Can you play less than 9 inning games in season mode?
Do you get a good variety of scores (some HR fests & some pitcher’s duels) ? Or do the games all seem to be one or the other?
