    PS3 version?

I actually do like the Right Stick controls but I moved over to the PS3 for two reasons:

    1. I had 2 360's break.

    2. MLB 08 The Show

So, as anything been said about development of MLB 2K9 and any deficiencies for the PS3 as compared to the 360?

nope they haven't said anything about the ps3 version, and i like you prefer what 2k has done with controlls but after what they tried to pass off as a video game last year i am on the wait and see for the ps3 version this year, only thing people keep saying is well VC puts out good multi platform basketball don't they(nba 2k9)? that's fine and dandy but i want confirmation from 2k or anybody who has played the game that it will be as good on the ps3 as it is on the 360

What about nba2k9 how does it play framerate wise on ps3 vs xbox 360? I'd be interested in hearing.

I have played NBA 2K9 on both 360 and PS3 and the PS3's framerate is perfect..no hitches...it might actually have better framerate on PS3...

Its more than likely that the graphics will be downgraded from the 360 version just like every other game thats produced on both consoles... Booo

            Re: PS3 version?

there's no real word yet on the PS3 difference, but I would actually be somewhat suprised if it was bad. I highly doubt, after last years' debacle, that they would do it again. It could be a bit less stable or sharp, but likely not as big a difference as last year.

As was said above, NBA 2K9 played just as well overall on the PS3 as it did on 360, so that might be encouraging.

That's what I'm thinking... NBA 2K9 was identical on both platforms. There is no excuse for this game not being the same.

              We'll see though.

thats good news, i have nhl09 for ps3 and have seen it on a 360 as well and couldn't really see any glaring differences.

I have both versions and the framerate is fine on both, but the 360 has better textures because there is more RAM.

It definitely wasn't visually identical, but I'm sure the mainstream crowd probably wouldn't tell the difference.

The biggest questions for the PS3 version of MLB 2K9 are framerate stability, jaggies, and self-shadowing.

Funny part was, in a Brinkman interview, he said they were able to get 60FPS up and running on the PS3 version, before they were able to achieve it on the 360. Yet it somehow failed on release.

I knew something was up when he said one guy was working the framerate on PS3...**** just didn't make sense. And you saw the end product.
