    Camera angles

Beside the pitcher batter angles, what angles are available in the outfield?

Terrible decision, Hopefully enough people complain to get a patch like in 2k7.

If you read deep enough into my thread, you'll see that I'm attributing it to a way for them to maintain 60 FPS, at least for this year. Hopefully next year they'll find ways to optimize things correctly to keep a solid framerate with a camera that shows more of the stadium, but I don't think we'll get one in a patch unfortunately.

If that's the only way to get a smooth framerate, it's lame. When the ball is hit, it shows a large part of the stadium before zooming in, so what's the real deal?

I think it's hard for them to improve the overall experience much further than they generally seemed to have done, without completely redoing/overhauling the "engine." It does suck, but I think that they were dealt a bad hand with a poorly optimized game from last year. Blzer is likely right on with this...it's an easy way to assure stability without sacrificing other, perhaps more pressing concerns.

I would imagine (and this is mere conjecture on my part) that they'll be able to further optimize next year and perhaps not have to make such sacrifices.

I would have liked to see better fielding cameras as well (not a really much of afan of the current one), but I honeslty am impressed with how much they've added (at least superficially) to the experience over last year's mess.

I like to watch the flight of the ball. For some reason this has been missing in the 2K series sinse 2K3 and 2K4

I just wish the powers that be would consider bringing back their 2K3 home runs.

I wasn't a big home run hitter but I hit a few and when I connected I can tell ya I wasn't watching the grass grow I was watching that ball leave the park!

Watching the green monster and listening to the announcer tell me "it's out of here" isn't close to watching the ball sailing out of the park...

Please let me see the ball...

I'm a little confused b/c when i watch many of the OS video's I do see a high camera view at times and other times I see a low fielding view (like in the latest video). If there is only 1 fielding cam, how are there several angles being shown?

It's just one of those "action" cams. The further and higher the ball is hit, the higher it goes (or something like that).
